For better or for...Verse

You are not the first...

You are not the first...
Nor the last, will you remain.

To experience a heartbreak,
And go through the pain.

Words of consolation,
May seem surreal and untrue.

They'll seem cold and inappropriate,
For all that you're going through...

And so I'll make a heartfelt prayer,
In the silence of my day.

May God give you the strength
And show you, the way...

May He heal the wounds of hurt,
May He wipe your tears all dry,

May he restore the smile over your face,
And bring back the sparkle in your eye!

This verse is for all those hurt in love, heartbroken and unable to love again...

Know, that the SUN will shine out every morning, despite the darkness of the night!

Under a different name!

Different names we give our faith.
But still cry out to GOD.

Different ways we worship him,
But still He is our Lord.

Different prayers we’ve learnt to say,
Voicing the desires of our heart.

Different festivals we celebrate,
With fun and merriment a part!

Different books and scriptures we read,
Yet the message is the same.

Why don’t we instead, embrace HUMANITY?
It’s the only binding religion - under a different name!

She

She walks like a ghost
In a world of her own
Her hair is messed up
And her clothes, they’re torn.

Her stature is small
And frail she looks
Gullible that she is
Always bullied by crooks.

Nothing to call her own
Just a corner down the lane
Drown into her eyes
If you wish to see her pain.

She lives on the hope
That God’s children are good
If not some money
They’ll give her some food.

She mumbles to her self
And people call her mad
They ridicule and condemn
This woman, so sad.

No one really bothers
Not one ever cares
All they have for her
Are hard inhuman stares.

But she is far humane
Than these people, and how,
Shares her little grub
With a dog and a crow.

Disaster Quakes!

The ocean beds roar.
The crusts, they crack.
The seas surge, the waters rise,
As if to devour the world.
Hundreds and thousands of unfortunate souls
Drown in a mighty wave,
Thrown over land…
To wash away all,
Sweeping away a civilization.
Cries of help, wringed out of shock,
Leave behind corpses,
For all the world to see,
The numbers rise.
The count, still on...
Fishermen, tourists, inhabitants of the coast,
Now…the faithful departed.
Nature has shown her wrath.
She is mighty and forceful.
We are small, inconsequential.
Do we still dare to prove our power?
The milk of human kindness
Flows out of the human heart,
The people of the world now offer help.
They’ve forgotten all their misgivings.
While people mourn,
Life resumes.
What has gone,
Will soon…be forgotten.

May the souls of all those who were devoured by the disastrous Tsunami rest in peace.
While we assure ourselves that they have been reunited with The Almighty.

I hear voices…

A drop of blood flowed out of him,
The world rushed to his feet.
My son, he bled to death for you…
At his tomb was placed a wreath.

My children learned to be forthright and honest,
Values that you learnt, too.
But when their life was put to threat,
Where on this Earth were you?

I live in a land, where fear precedes life,
While you rest in the comfort of your home,
While you crib about fanciful comforts of life,
In a moment I could be gunned or stoned.

He traveled by the bus with a bomb beneath,
That snatched from him, his life.
The last he said was, “Honey, am coming home”
Now his widow, once his wife.

You are a Hindu; you are not like me,
I am pure, you are unclean,
Wash yourself off the saffron,
Or later, you may label me cruel or mean.

Don’t speak of missionaries or Judgment Day,
We know you are out to convert,
You anyways do not belong to our land,
Remember, this is our share of the Earth.

Preach your lessons of goodness,
To some other fool around,
We only believe in nuclear strength,
To the end, we will stand our ground.

In the name of Jehad, you killed your brother,
You believe yourself to be the chosen one,
But remember there is something called Kayamat, too.
When you will be accounted for all you’ve done!

They spoke of peace and love to all,
They left examples to follow,
What lessons to learn! What scriptures to read!
The world lives a life that is hollow.

Live a life free from sin,
Change your wickedness, you must.
The greatest religion is humanity, my friend,
One day, we must all return to dust.

I won’t love you anymore

I want to cry, but the tears don’t come,
I’m wondering what to do,
The past and the future, are worrying my present,
And I can’t stop loving you.

For you, it seems all so easy,
To just deny it all,
But I am the one, who is troubled,
I want to scream, yell and bawl.

Why on Earth are you pretending?
To be so free and cool,
I know what your heart is going through,
Did you think you could make me a fool?

Or am I still misunderstanding you?
Is it something else on your mind?
It’s strange you want me to leave you,
"New love" you want me to find.

When I am working on a solution,
To a problem, that only seems to be there,
It’s so mean of you to end everything,
It’s really so unfair!

If an ‘end’ is what you’ve asked for,
Then that is just what you'll get,
I am going to change myself,
Take it from me as a bet.

Now life will take us along,
Two paths that will never meet.
I will erase your sweet name,
From the sound of my heartbeat.

We will never be together,
Even if the Gods want us to be,
Try as hard as you may,
Now, you’ll never get to me.
