Into the skies...

I looked up into the skies,
It promised me all of my dreams.
And that I would see my self through,
No matter how hard life seemed.

I looked up into the skies,
And its vastness told me that I could fly.
No matter how weak or strong the winds were,
My wings would take me high.

I looked up into the skies,
And I knew I’d get where I’ve wanted to be.
But dark clouds got in my way,
And then suddenly, I just couldn’t see!

As I look now into the skies,
I am now flying to my dreams.
A little anxiety, but loads of joy,
Oh, how my heart now beams!

Like how we were before.

We were so very different,
And yet so similar.
Enjoying each other’s company,
We grew so close and dear.

Trust me dear, I will miss you,
Wherever I may be...
And so I will remind my self,
That ‘we’ could never be.

It hurts to see you go away,
Nor look, nor say a word,
But I will not hold unto you,
You are as free as a bird.

Come to me when you're sad or troubled,
Think of me when you're blue.
Take this as a promise, beloved,
I’ll always be there for you.
